Downtown Las Vegas has no shortage of creative energy, and the Art Everywhere Mural Festival on East Fremont Street was a perfect reminder of that.
Hosted by ISI Group, the festival brought together more than 40+ artists to paint, create, and transform the neighborhood with their own unique styles. Everywhere I looked, there was something happening — colorful murals taking shape, artists putting their ideas onto walls, and photographers capturing the moment.
But beyond the artwork, I wanted to learn more about the people behind it.
During the event, I had the opportunity to interview Dana Anderson, one of the people behind the festival, along with other artists and photographers. I asked them what inspires their work, what drives their creative passion, and what keeps them moving forward on their artistic journeys.
Their answers reminded me that creativity is about more than making something beautiful. It’s about having something to express, finding your own voice, and continuing to create even when the journey isn’t always easy.
As a photographer, I’m always interested in the stories behind the things I see. This event gave me a chance to step beyond documenting murals and connect with the people who bring them to life.
If you enjoy street photography, public art, creative communities, and discovering the stories behind the people who make things, I hope you’ll enjoy this one.
Sometimes, the best part of a photowalk isn’t just the photographs you bring home — it’s the people you meet and the stories you hear along the way.
