My exploration of lost towns, urban decay, and roadside distractions focuses on the fading landscapes of the American West. Traveling along desert highways, backroads, and historic routes, I document abandoned motels, weathered storefronts, rusted signs, and the quiet remnants of places that once thrived.
I’m drawn to these unexpected roadside moments—scenes many travelers pass without noticing yet carry layers of history and character. Guided by a sense of mono no aware—an awareness of the beauty in impermanence—I photograph these environments in both film and digital, capturing their textures, colors, and atmosphere as they slowly fade with time.
