For this week’s Photography Side Quest, I headed to a street skateboarding event in Las Vegas, where skaters took over an alley for an afternoon of tricks, music, and good vibes.

Skateboarding and street photography have a lot in common. Both are unpredictable, and sometimes the best moments happen in a split second. The challenge was trying to anticipate the action, find interesting angles, and capture those moments before they disappeared.

But beyond the tricks, I wanted to capture the atmosphere, the personalities, and the community surrounding the event. That’s what I enjoy most about these little photography adventures—getting out, experiencing something different, and meeting people along the way.

Check out the video below and come along for the ride!
